...Enwright '18 and T. C. Thacher '18, of this year's squad, H. W. Minot '17 from the second team, and several backs of unusual promise from the 1919 eleven, H. C. Flower, E. L. Casey, R. Bond and G. L. Batchelder. Horween is an excellent line plunger and punter, although he lacks experience. Minot is the nearest approach to Mahan in open field work, and is strong and heavy. Willcox has been used at quarterback, but on account of his consistent weakness in handling punts, he will probably be tried at halfback. Enwright, captain of the 1918 Freshman team...
Berryman, the sensational Penn. State half-back, is given one position in the back-field, King, of Harvard, the second, and the third to Captain Mahan. This trio offers a fast running backfield of exceptional talent, including a strong line-plunger and clever defensive full-back, and two versatile, speedy half-backs, one of whom is undoubtedly the best all-around football man in the country. Seymour '17, and H. Wentworth '17, dash men; A. Dixon, 3d, '16, plunger; K. F. Jackson '17, and W. K. Munroe '17, divers. In addition, the team will have the services of the following men from last year's Freshman team: A. S. Francis '18, R. Hitchcock '18, and T. T. Seelye '18, sprinters; W. Richmond, Jr., '18, plunger; and M. Blanchard...
...light and speedy Colling, who scored three times against Williams, will be found at left halfback, while Shiverick, a punter and drop-kicker of no mean ability will fill the other halfback position. Mueller will doubtless play fullback, for he is not only a consistent and vicious line plunger, but a most reliable secondary defense...
