Practice yesterday was moved ahead two hours in order to give the crew management time to pack the Pocock shell for shipment on the same train which the oarsmen took. Captain Kelley's crew rowed yesterday at 3.30 o'clock, going over the mile and three-quarter Basin course in a time trial. While Coach Stevens refused to give the time made, he announced that he was very pleased with the showing of the crew, and considered that the University boat stood an excellent chance of coming through a winner in its second race of the year...
