Yale, while not so well off for experienced runners as Princeton, promises to furnish a strong team. G. F. Sweeney recently broke the indoor pole vault record by clearing 12 feet 2 inches, tying with Myers of Dartmouth. F. P. Heffelfinger, in the 440, and D. Aikenhead, in the 880, can be relied on to come in among the first in their respective events. Altogether, the Elis would appear to have a well-balanced team for the coming season...

The competition in the meet will be only between members of the University, class and dormitory team A large number of events are on the schedule, including a few novice races. Also, if sufficient interest is shown, there will be a competition in pole vaulting. Blue books have been placed in the Freshman dormitories, Leavitt and Peirce's and the Union for men to sign who intend to take part in the carnival...
