...class of 2010 had needed a season to adjust to collegiate water polo, everyone would have understood. If freshman goalie Ariel Delgado had missed more shots than she saved, if driver Kathryn Bilder had not led the team in goals scored, and if they had not boasted 77 steals as a class, everyone would have understood. Junior co-captain Vivian Liao was named the Most Valuable Player at the women’s water polo end-of-season banquet. Liao scored 18 goals while adding 16 steals and four assists in an injury-shortened season. Liao broke her hand against Cal Tech and missed the season’s final twelve games.
