...close its season with the deciding game of the Yale series in the Arena this evening at 8.15 o'clock. As both teams appear to be in better condition than in either of the two games previous, and as there is no danger of the men being bothered by poor ice as on Wednesday, tonight's game should be the fastest and hardest of the three. Yale will probably present its reorganized and much improved line-up with Howe at left centre; while the University seven will be as usual...

Yale won its advantage early in the game and by excellent defensive work was able to check the desperate attack of the University forwards for the remainder of the game. The poor condition of the ice effected the playing of both of the teams. Accurate shooting and passing were impossible due to the sticky surface. Team-play being out of the question, the game became disorganized and was featured largely by individual rushes down...

...Freshman hockey team will play the Yale freshmen in the final game of the season in New Haven this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Freshmen have lost only one scheduled game, that with St. Paul's. The poor showing of the team against St. Paul's was largely due to injuries to several of the regular forwards, and now with Claflin at right centre, and Captain Phillips back in the line-up, the forward line is working together better than it has for some time. Although the Yale freshmen have an exceptionally strong team this year, the chances...

During this week came the most serious setback of the season--Sortwell was called away for an indefinite period and Captain Huntington was taken slightly ill with a cold. The prospects for the Saturday game with McGill were indeed poor, until it was discovered on Friday night that Sortwell would be able to return to play in the game. This contest marks the highest point of the season so far. Sortwell's lay-off had apparently harmed him not a bit and the Canadian team, said to be one of the best in the Provinces was beaten...
