There have recently been put on exhibition at the Fogg Museum, through the kindness of E. W. Forbes '95, a number of early Italian paintings and ancient marbles. These include "Mandonna with Angels," by Taddeo di Bartolo; "Portrait of a Cardinal," by Scipio Gaetano; "Adoration of the Magi," probably by Cosimo Tura; and "St. Jerome," by Matteo da Siena. The three new marbles are an Attic gravestone of the fourth century, and two female heads of a late period. ...Eliot. He has spent most of the winter with his family at Chateau d'Oex in Switzerland. During March he took a two-weeks trip to Venice and Florence. Just before sailing President Eliot's spent a fortnight in London, where he sat to John S. Sargent for his portrait.
