Also annoyed at the British censorship last week, chiefly for not matching the Nazis in supplying good war photos, was the British weekly magazine Picture Post. In the Nov. 4 issue the magazine shows a blacked-out countryside with a sign hung in the foreground: This is a private war. The War Office, the Admiralty, the Air Ministry and the Ministry of Information are engaged in a war with the Nazis. They are on no account to be disturbed. Nothing is to be photographed. Last week Hatfield Broun put an end to his feud with McCoy Howard by signing a new contract with the New York Post, to take effect day after his World-Telegram contract expires next week. The Post, in place of Scripps-Howard's United Feature Syndicate, will distribute Broun's column to other papers.
