ANOTHER important scientific discovery, or, perhaps better, invention, has just been made by Professor Wolcott Gibbs, of our University, and is known as the Ammonic Nitrate Battery. This is the second improved species of battery that Professor Gibbs has invented, the first being the Bichromate Potash Battery, which has already taken the place of the old Bunsen Battery on the Western Union Telegraph lines.
