What odd values! I think possession of pot should be no crime at all, and 15 days would seem about right for a weak punch or two thrown in anger. But interfering with the freedom to teach and learn is a very serious offense and two years (with some remission, I trust, when he shows he understands) seem particularly disproportionate had he been convicted of that offense.
