...sensation to be searching for comic relief in a comedy. But certain smoggy patches of Lunch Hour do tend to induce that quest. Possibly the two funniest moments in Act I are Gilda Radner sparring with a spilled pot of coffee and juggling a scalding-hot spoon, and Sam Waterston watching the page proofs of his upcoming book unreel inexorably into a goldfish tank. All of which goes to prove that Director Mike Nichols is still a playwright's best friend...

...Nixon Administration was largely responsible for getting the Soviet influence out of the Middle East, but look how much it is getting back in there now. That is the boiling pot, and lately we have even seen the possibilities of, literally, a religious war-the Muslims returning to the idea that the way to heaven is to lose your life fighting the Christians or the Jews. Under the direction of Prime Minister Pol Pot and a shadowy group of doctrinaire fanatics called Angka Loeu (the Organization on High), the Khmer Rouge began methodical destruction of every vestige of religion.
