This method of picking the top team is made more horrible by the fact that there isn't a college football playoff. Died. Chase Salmon Osborn, 89, author, prospector, philanthropist and onetime progressive Republican Governor of Michigan (1911-12); of pneumonia; in Poulan, Ga.
