...Jekyll and Mr. Hyde of Harvard basketball, coach Bob Harrison, has been calm thus for during pre-season practice. Because be is under no pressure this fall, Harrison has been free to relax. Toward the close of the last two seasons, while under great stress, Harrison would often yell frantically at players who made mistakes. When one of his ball players now makes an error. Harrison will walk over to him, put his arm around his shoulder and quietly explain his mistake. The Bob Harrison who in the past would berate his players as "dummies" when they threw passes...

LAST ACCOMPLISHMENT: In Cornell's pre-season practice Murray beat out sophomore John Egan from Mechanicsburg, Pa., who averaged 40.1 yards on forty kicks as a freshman. So far this season, in three games Murray has attempted 12 punts and sports a sprightly 25.7 average. Of course, Murray has had a few freak kicks that haven't exactly fattened his already emaciated average. In the Colgate contest, Murray sen' a "snake killer" at shoe lace level blazing into the linesmen on the side, knocking two of them down, and sending Cornell's newly acquired orange half-moon downs markers back...

Despite all the pre-season talk of a wealth of good quarterbacks and a thin offensive line, it is the line that has consistently performed well. Harvard is hurting at the guard position after Columbia though, so today's game will be the line's first real test of depth...
