...prequel trilogy’s near-total reliance on computer-generated effects. Just stare at the crowd scenes. The space battles. The sky-traffic lanes on Coruscant. Never, ever, has there been a set of movies better at completely inventing a visual universe and sticking to it at all costs. It’s ridiculous. I usually cry, just because of how good the Jedi Temple looks...
...once in our wretched lives, all of us geeks were right! Rick McCallum really is trying to kill the “Star Wars” legacy! In a national conference call conducted last week, the producer behind the three “Star Wars” prequels finally announced theultimate aim of his nefarious plans: “I’m hoping that, in 20 or 30 years, nobody remembers ‘Star Wars’; that it was just a blip.” Arm the message-boards, fanboys—the Dark Lord has been...

Out of her childhood - from a bizarre conception in May 1962 to the end of her erratic schooldays in 1979 - Sayer has spun an Australian booze opera about the end of the country's postwar...
...Richard Corliss wrote a great story on the new Star Wars movie. Revenge of the Sith looks like exciting summer entertainment and a real winner. I wasn't thrilled with the past two Star Wars movies in the prequel trilogy, but I'm looking forward to this one. Mel McCormick Baltimore, Maryland...
