When Hitler took Austria, more than a year ago, Cardinal Innitzer heiled and voted Ja with the best of them. He was, indeed, credited with helping end the Schuschnigg regime, by letting the Austrian Catholic press back Arthur Seyss-Inquart, Nazi go-between.
