Pliny records (Nat. Hist. Lib. vii. -xxvii) a similar instance. A more detailed account of such a phenomenon is given in a curious tract in the Bodleian [Bodl. Pamph. Godw. 87. (4)] which bears the following title: Prodlgium Willingkamense: Or, authentic Memoirs in the Life of a Boy, Born at Willingham, near Cambridge, October 31, 1741; who, before he was Three Years old, was Three Feet, Eight inches high And had the Marks of Puberty.
