Dame Rumor has noised it about of late that kind-hearted alumni are about' to send President Conant two cocker spaniels. Not that the new President is a dog fancier--nor that the desires to perpetuate the tradition of President Lowell's "Phantom," of sacred memory. But these alumni profess an interest in President Conant's physical well-being. They knew that when he worked in the laboratory he didn't bother much about exercise, but they feel that as President he should indulge in a daily constitutional.
