...Professor Huelsen is one of the foremost authorities on the monuments and topography of ancient Italy. He has lived in Rome most of the time since 1880, being appointed secretary of the German Institute in 1887. He has been active in collecting and publishing Roman inscriptions and has written much on archaeological topics, including an excellent book on the Roman Forum.
