...captain Lucas playing a good game at centre halfback. All the other halfbacks are playing well, Myers showing up well in his position. The forwards have not developed their team-play, nor is their shooting very accurate, but as most of the men are new to the game, excellent progress may be expected...

...hard scrimmage on the field. The play was impeded by the thick mist and wet turf, but before it was stopped at 5 o'clock by utter darkness, every man was sent in to take part. No scoring was made, for the University team could not make consistent progress through the seconds' line, this being the only safe method of attack on the slippery field. The lack of concerted action on the part of the linemen was very noticeable, but this can be excused largely by the conditions under which they were playing...

...handsome and capacious new buildings of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, extending from Massachusetts avenue in Cambridgeport along the Charles River Basin, half way to Kendall square, are now structurally complete, except for the great central dome, and the front of the Library. Johns Hopkins' "Haughtonized" football team has shown remarkable progress this year. Previous to this year when C. E. Brickley '15 undertook the coaching of the team the recent seasons have been disastrous. Not a single victory was registered in 1913, and last year the season was broken up by the fatal injury of Layfield. An example of this year's prowess is the defeat last Saturday of Mount St. Mary's, who formerly held and often defeated Johns Hopkins, by the score...
