Shortly after Christmas the candidates for the freshman nine will be called out, and it is now very necessary to arrange for their proper coaching. Last year the freshman nine had no regular coach until two weeks before the first Yale game. For this reason the nine was not so good as it might have been. The captain had double work, for he had to do all the coaching and also the choosing of the players.
