...while we certainly support Harvard’s efforts to protect students from the MPAA’s potential lawsuits, it seems that the movie industry is missing out on important lessons learned by its music industry counterparts. Rather than filing lawsuits to make examples out of individuals—sparking further antagonism with consumers—the MPAA should be taking much more progressive steps towards harnessing the potential of online movie downloads.
