...actions, the petition ignores the context of the situation. Israel did not enter the West Bank and risk the lives of many young soldiers without reason. It was a measure of self-defense and did in fact allow Israel some respite from the terror campaign. Certainly Israel must protect civilian Palestinian lives, but to blame Israel for needing to defend itself is backwards...
