Sophomore Lindsey Scherf continues to prove that she is one of the best young female distance runners in the country. On Saturday, the Harvard track and field star finished 54th at the USATF Cross Country Championships at Van Cortlandt Park just outside New York City. Her time of 30:23 for the 8-kilometer race put her just under four minutes behind the winner. Blake Russell, a 30-year old professional runner, won the championship race in 26:47.
