From 1884 to 1901, Professor Kuhnemann was Privatdozent at the University of Marburg, and in 1901 he was made Professor Extraordinarius. In 1903 he was called to Bonn, and in the same year he was charged by the Prussian Government with organizing the newly founded Royal Academy at Posen, a task which he fulfilled with singular success.
