Brother John Tikytt (or Tikyll), Prior of the Augustinian Monastery of Wyrkesopp, England, was engaged, about the year 1310, in limning a psalter. He finished 90 pages, with elaborate titles in gold and colors for each psalm, a miniature for each page, and a small painting at the bottom of each column of text.
