...Andover players were in general very fast skaters and handled their sticks cleverly. The forwards kept in line, stock to their opponents, and rushed the puck down well. They were weak and uncertain in their shooting, however, and were often easily broken up by the defence or by the University forwards following back...

...first five minutes or so of play found Andover shooting time and again at the University goal, and the University forwards seemed unable to get started down the rink. Finally Pell went down the side-boards and passed out to Hicks who shot the puck for the first goal. Andover again made an attack and lost a good chance for scoring by slowness, when Washburn was forced to leave the goal. Pell again took the puck down, passing to Newhall, who over-skated and lost a good shot, but on another rush by Pell, Newhall shot and the puck finally...

...first team was very good, the men playing well individually and showing a great deal of team work. Pell, Newhall and Ford did the best work for the University team, and Briggs and Butt for the second. Briggs showed up well individually but refused to pass the puck repeatedly, when scores were possible. Carpenter at goal on the second, did some good work, and as the playing was mostly about his goal, he did well to hold the score down to 9. The best single play of the afternoon was a splendid exhibition of passing by Pell and Ford, after...
