...first half hour of practice the work consisted of carrying the puck down the rink singly, in pairs, and by threes and fours against Clark and Gardner, the second line of defence men. Wylde and Abbot alternated at goal, each doing good work, though Abbot was not very consistent. The passing was better than in the scrimmage, where it was inaccurate. Lombard was hit above the knee with a stick, and may be out of the game for a few days, though it is possible that the injury will not prove serious...
...next few minutes the University seven was completely outclassed, making only a few weak attempts at scoring, while Huntington, skating through the University defence, caged the puck, and Sands repeated the trick, making a clean goal. A few seconds later he scored from a mix-up. Except for Percy, the University forwards appeared to lack confidence and determination on the defence, while on the offence they did not form their line well, going up in pairs and singly. Both teams played at a pretty fast pace, and a number of chances to score were lost by close margins. Percy scored the second goal from a mix-up near the cage. Saltonstall got away once and broke through the defence, but Wylde came out and stopped him. After the regulars had worked for about fifteen minutes, Coach Winsor sent in the second, string line, and they scored two more goals. Phillips started several good rushes...
...Harvard Club seven was utterly lacking in team-work, while the University players negotiated several good passes. Baldwin played well, although his tendency yesterday was to keep the puck to himself too much. He also has a habit of using only one hand on his stick a great deal of the time, which handicaps his handling of the puck. Baker, in Curtis's place at left centre, also played a good game. Murray Taylor '18, who played on the Freshman team last year, but has not been able to come out for the squad this year until recently...
