Either this is an unusually long and elaborate episode of his prank show Punk'd, or else ASHTON KUTCHER and DEMI MOORE are an item. Kutcher, 25, and Moore, who turned 40 last year, have been spotted getting handsy with each other all over town, most recently at a party thrown by music mogul P. Diddy after the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles. Kutcher has clearly never seen St. Elmo's Fire; then again, he was 7 when it came out, and it is rated R. But maybe he could use the guidance of an older woman. Lately...
...expressed irritation at the identity theft but never tried to stop it. Now he can relax. Bui and his co-authors have dropped the Blissett banner and regrouped as Wu Ming (Chinese for "without a name"). They have become full-time authors and acquired a fifth member - author and punk rocker Riccardo Pedrini - and recently produced 54, a "screwball comedy" novel set in 1954 featuring Cary Grant and Yugoslavia's Josep Broz Tito. ...bassist Alex James enjoying the new-found space in the mix; unidentified "world" instruments are used sparingly and add to the melodic ease of a band that no longer feels compelled to fill the air with distortion. The most satisfying tracks are those that borrow from the Clash, such as Gene by Gene, though...
...would be easy to dismiss Muqtada al-Sadr as little more than a street punk. That may be a mistake when dealing with a man who appears to have established himself as the de facto ruler of a huge chunk of Baghdad - the Shiite ghetto once known as Saddam City, now renamed Sadr City in honor of Muqtada's uncle, the legendary martyred anti-Saddam rebel cleric Muhammad Bakir al Sadr. Sadr City could be described as the Compton of Iraq, but its 2 million residents make up 8 percent of Iraq's entire population. A substantial domain, then...
There isn’t a drop of irony in Adult.’s harsh productions, at once their greatest and most limiting aspect. The duo’s music stands a notch above the rest of the pack, with a punk slant that adds a much-needed shot of adrenaline and the compositional flair to match. The wonderfully alien “Glue Your Eyelids Together” wields its synths like guitars and “Turn Your Back” whines and squeals like no normal instruments would. They’re headbangers made for robots...
