After the kick-off, the second returned the ball to Starr on a punt. Starr was downed on the middle line and after two rushes, netting five yards, an onside kick was recovered on the 25-yard line. From there the ball was rushed ever the line by Apollonio after a series of steady tandem bucks. On the next kick-off after an exchange of punts and a forward pass, the second punted to Wendell who ran back 25 yards to the second's 25-yard line. Apollonio then made the second touchdown after another series of tandem plays...

Harvard got the ball again, and Burr caught Newhall's forward pass, running it to the 15-yard line. Here Harvard was held for downs on line plays. Douglass punted on the first down.
