Sihanouk sharply criticized the U.S. for supporting Lon Nol's regime. "The United States has valid reasons certainly for defending itself against the propagation of Communism in Asia and most particularly in Southeast Asia," declared Sihanouk. "But it would be pure hypocrisy to assert that the United States is defending the highest interests of the Indochinese people in preventing at all costs regimes like those of Lon Nol and of Nguyen Cao Ky from falling to Communism, using for that purpose bombs and napalm and an apocalyptic destruction of the countries and peoples concerned...
...This pure sexism is the same as Agnew racism. In its theory it sees a choice between admitting members of population groups according to numbers or according to ability, as though ability is naturally distributed unevenly between men and women, for example. In his zeal, however, Puthenpura may have oversold his audience. His recruits did not, as he claimed, "live like princesses" in Europe. Like novices everywhere, they had to wash dishes, scrub floors, and perform other menial tasks...
...villains of the piece, freaky faggots named Griff (Robert Phillips) and Terry (William Smith), provide some of the nastiest screen violence so far this year. There's a brawl toward the end of the picture between McGee and one of the freaks that has not been matched, for pure furniture-smashing gusto, since Frank Sinatra took out after that Korean guy in The Manchurian Candidate...
