All of Williams's runs were made in the third inning after two men had been put out; when errors by Hartford and Harvey, and two safe hits gave Williams a lead which the University team was unable to overcome. With the exception of Leonard and Dexter the Harvard players were weak at the bat, and fielded loosely at critical moments.
