Fourteen crews went out on the river yesterday afternoon, all of them starting from the University Boathouse where the floats have been put in position. Vail and Wray coached several of the crews from the coxswains' seats. One of the floats at the Weld has already been put out and the others will probably be ready today. Work on the launch is now in progress and it will be put in commission early next week...

On account of the injuries sustained by Randall in the last game, he has been forced to retire, and Linehan has been put back at centre. ...probable that the floats at the Weld Boathouse will be put in place by next Monday. As the current carries floating ice very close to the shore near the University Boathouse, it will be impossible to put out any but temporary floats there until the ice is entirely gone...
