In regional elections last week, 34.5% of the voters cast their ballots for the Left. The Christian Democrats were second with 20%, the Qualunquist-Monarchist bloc third with 14%; the rest of the votes went to minor parties. This foreshadowed a Communist-Socialist majority in the national elections next October...
