Bemis led at the beginning of the last quarter, but was passed by Wright after a hard struggle. Wright finished in 6 minutes 59 3-4 seconds, with Bemis second by 5 yards. Wright's time was just 1-4 second slower than the Harvard record made by Bemis last Monday - under more favorable weather conditions...
