The 'varsity were only able to score one touchdown by a long run made by Phelan. The second eleven scored again by steady rushes. Emmons and Waters did not play, but were out in football clothes coaching...

Where Brown gained most was through the tackles. Neither Gould nor Hallowell could stop the steady, repeated hammering of the Brown backs, although Hallowell made some brilliant tackles. Wrenn and Fairchild were both tried at quarter. Their work was a pretty even thing, but Fairchild certainly ran the team with better judgement...

Besides the freshmen, a number of last year's team are training for the fall handicaps. Prado and Smith are working at the sprints, Marshall and Bingham at the quarter, and Vincent and Boardman at the half. Bremer, Monroe and Williams are all practicing the hurdles daily. Bremer will probably try both races this year. In the mile walk Drew shows improvement over his work of last spring. All of Harvard's quartet of high jumpers, Paine, Stickney, Chaney and Putnam, intend to enter the games and Mr. Lathrop expects Shea to begin to work with the shot regularly...

...gainer, though his slowness in getting started was a lamentable weakness. Manning ran well with the ball after he once got started, but his light weight told against him whenever he was tackled. Dunlop was sent through the centre for short gains. Wrenn played a quick, sharp game at quarter and made a very pretty catch of a high punt. Beale played the second half when his interference and blocking off were rather better than Wrenn's. Of the Andover men, Holt played the best game at right guard and was well seconded by Lindenburg...
