...beyond question that government research has altered the University's structure and that the University should preserve its freedom to criticize society and government. Unfortunately Mr. Glassman's case for his conclusion (May 13) that, "The federal government will be driven out of the University. And that cannot be bad" is sketchy and his solution seems to throw out the baby with the bathwater. It will be argued here...

After searching the City's Charter, the rent control referendum group has discovered that one section of its original law was illegal. The section in question provided that an elected board would administer rent control, whereas the City's charter provides that only city councillors and school committeemen can be elected.
