...Bidwell 2L. and S. H. Derby 2L. won the final doubles match in the fall tennis tournament Saturday, defeating M. G. Beaman 2L. and R. S. Goodrich 3L., 6 4, 6-2. The match was quick and fast, all four men using strong forehand strokes. Derby's strokes were especially strong and accurate and his lobs were wonderfully sure. Bidwell used his stroke with good effect and his playing improved throughout the match...

He seemed to have gotten over much of the awkwardness which has marred his playing heretofore. J. Lawrence and Blagden were almost invincible...

Farley had to retire early in the game with an injured ankle, but while he played he did fairly well. Clark, who took his place, got down quickly under punts and tackled low and hard. Sargent at centre is improving daily, and his work yesterday was quick. On the second team Baldwin did some good tackling and Mifflin ran well in the open field. Roberts and Miller, the two heavy men on the team, seemed to be affected...
