While rowing on the Quinnipiac river Friday afternoon, a short distance below the third railroad bridge, the boat of the Yale Freshmen ran on a submerged stake which broke a large hole in the bottom and caused the boat to sink immediately. The crew went on foot to the boat-house and returned in the barge to their shell which they towed down the river. The accident is similar to that which befel the sophomore crew this spring.
