Practice for the University Crew started on September 17, when two full crews, reported. For the first few weeks the work was light, and consisted mainly of long paddles to enable the men to get into condition. With the Princeton race in view, the first crew soon started on time trials and races with the second crew. The Freshman eight of last year furnished the crew with promising material and three Sophomores were on the crew which raced Princeton.
