...spite of the threatening weather, an audience of between 50 and 75 saw Baker break the 220 yards record yesterday afternoon. The track at Beacon Park was chosen for the race, because it has a 220 yards straight-a-way. It has the representation of being an exceptionally fast track, but in spite of the broken records yesterday, it was in poor condition.
