Admirers of the French cinema and of Raimu in particular will have to admit that the intensely human figure of the Gallic star undergoes little variety of characterization. In fact, 'Fanny" is "The Baker's Daughter" again, with the innate virtue of womanhood, backed by the mature but homely virtue of Raimu, once more triumphant over youthful indiscretion.
