Yesterday's rain scored heavily against athletic contests when it postponed two baseball contests and four tennis matches. The University baseball game with Bowdoin College, and the second team game with Andover were cancelled and the Freshman game with Dean Academy postponed. The University tennis match with M. I. T., the second team match with Newton Center, the Freshman with Andover, and the Business School match with the Newton Center Squash Tennis Club, were all cancelled or postponed...

Conditions for the meet Saturday were very poor, a pouring rain falling during most of the afternoon, and handicapping the contestants to a large extent. Eastman, the Crimson representative in the shotput, placed third with a heave of 42 feet 3 1-2 inches, his attempt falling short of those by Hills of Princeton and Beers of the University of Maryland.
