...idea of an undergraduate science center has been around Harvard for several decades. In the late 1950s, the Ramsey Committee, set up by Dean Bundy, recommended that the building be constructed. The Faculty looked at the idea in the early 1960s, until 1968 when an anonymous donor gave $13.5 million to build an undergraduate science center.
