Five minutes later the Yale band followed and took up position in front of the Yale section and played several of the Eli songs. The preliminary drill for both squads consisted of passing and drop-kicking. At 1.25 o'clock the Yale squad left the field for the locker building, followed shortly after by the Harvard players.
