...Norton's lecture tonight before the Classical Club in Harvard 1 is open to all members of the university, and will certainly draw a large number of men, both of those interested in the Classics, and those interested in literature generally. The opportunities of hearing Professor Norton are so rare that this chance will be doubly welcome. Professor Norton will speak on the value of classics to men of letters...
...sufficient assurance of this, but rather to express the appreciation which the University feels in being given this opportunity of listening to Professor Drummond. We would indeed be fortunate in having him with us for two consecutive Sundays, but the two informal talks, tonight and on Thursday, are rare privileges. The various themes were played with much feeling and the runs were executed with delicacy and fineness of touch. Mr. Schroeder also played two solos - a Nocturne by Chopin and a Capriccio by Klengel...
...regular Sunday evening service in Appleton Chapel tomorrow will be held in memory of the late Dr. Peabody. The address will be given by Rev. Edward Everett Hale. We wish to call particular attention to this for it is a rare opportunity to hear a discourse on the life and character of old Dr. Peabody. There is no one probably, who could speak of him with more interest and appreciation than Dr. Hale, whose acquaintance with him for years, and whose friendship was of a most intimate kind...
