...screen chase scene that puts The Thomas Crown Affair to shame. As Angel and Laurie, William Smith and Valerie Starrett (the director's wife) make up in enthusiasm what they lack in finesse. Angel is obviously and deeply indebted to Bonnie and Clyde, and even more to Nicholas Ray's 1949 They Live by Night, but anyone who expects a work as accomplished as those will be bitterly disappointed. Without Majestic Prince, how does the Belmont shape up? There are three logical contenders. Dike ran down on his heels in the Derby. General Motors has just introduced an all-aluminum 550-h.p. engine for the Corvette Sting Ray; with that power pack, the car costs about $9,000. Ford hopes to lure speedsters with a souped-up Mustang, called the "Boss 302." The auto is built with a wing across the rear deck to provide a downward thrust that adds traction to the wheels; it also has fixed louvres as bizarre sunshades on the rear window. The still more powerful "Boss 429" has a 375-h.p. engine that will whip...

Last season the Crimson traveled to Hanover to face an undefeated Indian squad that led the EIBL. Ray Peters struck out 12 batters and the Harvard nine had its finest day of the year, getting 20 hits for a 17-3 slaughter.
