Greely Summers, although not out for the season, is lost for the time being, and Gordy Lyle, plagued by a bad knee, has not seen action since the team's first scrimmage. He was recently transferred from tailback on account of the injury of Gordy Lyle, Ray Guild, and Greely Summers, not to speak of Harry Tine, another prospect. Another highlight of the scrimmage was the reappearance of Johnny Page in his center slot. Although "Swede" Anderson, converted fullback, started, Page saw some service at the close of the session. Bill Barnes was jogging through signals, and Ray Guild was trotting around the field under the watchful eye of a trainer, so the squad may be at its full strength within the next few days except for Peabody and Ayres. Still among the missing as far as any contact work is concerned are Ray Guild, a speedy wing-back, Bill Barnes, hot in the competition for the one open end position, Ted Lyman, captain of the sweep-swingers, who is headed for a good year as a blocking back, and Burgy Ayres, last year's star center.
