Fifteen hundred Princeton students Tuesday signed pledges putting themselves at the disposal of the railroads for any kind of service, upon a call by Samuel Rea, President of the Pennsylvania Railroad, for twenty-five firemen. Among the first to leave for New York on a special train were "Jack" Stubbing, all-American quarterback, and "Waddy" McPhee of the Princeton University eleven.
