Candidates for the University lacrosse team will be called out the latter part of February when preliminary practice will be held on the handball courts in the rear of the Gymnasium. This work will be designed to get the experienced men into good physical condition and to instruct new men in the rudiments of the game. Exercise will be given indoors and the men, who will be divided into University and Freshman squads, will be coached in stick work and in passing and catching the ball on the outdoor courts. Practice for the University hockey squad will begin this afternoon, probably on the handball courts in the rear of the Hemenway gymnasium. The work will be elementary, consisting in shooting for the forwards and practice in stopping the puck for the points and goalkeepers. As very few candidates have handled in their names, all men, especially Freshmen, who have played hockey, are urged to report this afternoon. ...buildings are constructed on the outside entirely of white marble, from Dorsot, Vermont, instead of limestone and brick, as was originally intended. The esplanade connecting the buildings is also constructed of white marble. On the front and rear of the Administration Building there will be porticos, each with six massive columns rising up as high as the cornice.
