Despite adverse conditions the program of the conference is unusually attractive this year. John R. Mott, who spoke at the University last fall in connection with the Y. M. C. A. campaign, will preside, and address the convention concerning his recent work behind the battle lines in Europe. Lieutenant James Palache '18, of Farmington, Conn., has been killed in action in France during a recent battle. His name was published incorrectly in Sunday's papers and his address given as New York in a dispatch from General Pershing, and it was not discovered until yesterday that he was the one referred to Palache prepared at the Thatcher School in California, and was manager of his Freshman baseball team...
