...those with truly terrible memories, I would recommend getting really, really drunk, and staying drunk throughout the duration of Freshman Week. Not only will you have a great time, but when someone you met at the screening of “Love Story” addresses you by name a couple of weeks later, you can just say, “Man, I’m sorry—I know I met you but I don’t remember your name; I was totally wasted all Freshman Week!” You will have both saved face...
...true that folks with few qualifications have become professional film critics (see Jeffrey Lyons). It?s also true that some websters have devoted their life to watching movies and can put their informed prejudices into words. I can heartily recommend the essays on Bergman, Bresson, Bunuel and other demanding European auteurs in Gregory and Maria Pearse?s Truth-in-Cinema Quest site and the panoramic considerations of themes in Chinese movies on Peter Nepstad?s The Illuminated Lantern. And I?m agreeably flummoxed by the attention ladled onto the 175 films made by Spanish bad-film auteur Jesus Franco...
...early July, turned out to be pivotal. Bush met with conservative bioethicists Daniel Callahan, co-founder of the Hastings Center, a bioethics institute, and Dr. Leon Kass from the University of Chicago. Now it only remained for him to find a way to make the narrower compromise work. When the NIH discovered the larger number of existing...

While other manufacturers make comparably priced units, the Dream Systems are the first to also incorporate "Super Audio" CD players, which play special discs that look like CDs but have superior audio quality. The music discs use all five speakers and the subwoofer to marvelous effect. You have to buy special SACDs (which will play at lower quality on standard CD players) to take advantage of this. SACDs cost around $20, and selection is limited. My wife and I ended up viewing...
...recommend SpamKiller. It's much more extensive, if more expensive ($30 after a 30-day trial, vs. $15 for Spam Buster). One caveat: neither program will work with Web-based Yahoo or Hotmail. However, both services will let you set up a regular POP mail account for a fee. It's worth it. SpamKiller even filtered out my Australian pal. Next time, cutie, use a dictionary...
